Last week Pembroke hosted its second Furniture Makers’ Symposium – a morning of craftmanship, conversations and valuable real-world connections.
Bringing industry into the classroom, this inspiring event gives our Year 12 Design, Technology & Engineering (DTE) students the opportunity to learn directly from experienced furniture makers, gaining valuable feedback and insight to shape their own projects.
A big thank you to our speakers Sam Agostino (Michi), Lex Stobie (Lex Stobie) and Mark Jones (Ferguson George) for sharing their processes and career journeys. Our students asked thoughtful questions and made the most of every discussion and critique. The Symposium highlights the importance of shared knowledge, and the impact of connecting classroom learning with industry experience.
