IB World School
As South Australia’s first school to offer the International Baccalaureate, Pembroke is determined to help shape a hopeful future through global learning.
Empowering Global Thinkers
At Pembroke, up to a third of our students elect to study the IB Diploma in Years 11 and 12. Our teachers are highly skilled and experienced in delivering the programme across more than two dozen IB subjects. We are proud of our strong and consistent history of Year 12 results, with outstanding achievements year after year. Our IB graduates go on to enjoy great success in their further studies, careers and lives more broadly, supported by the knowledge, skills and empathy developed throughout the programme.
A Visionary Beginning: South Australia’s First IB World School
Pembroke became South Australia’s first IB World School thanks to the incredible vision of our co-founding Principal Diana Medlin who introduced the programme here in 1989 seeking to broaden our students’ horizons.
Our Vision
Free to be ourselves and find our place as we shape a hopeful future.
Pembroke began when Girton Girls’ School and King’s College united behind the power of co-education.
Our unique learning and caring culture fosters equality of opportunity for all, making us stronger together.
